Recently I have noticed the abundance of Leather garments on Fashion blogs and the amount of hype around the new Dark Knight film on Twitter.... so I thought I would do a little post with a difference and combine the two; creating wearable ensembles to display you inner nerd whilst also staying classy (San Diego)

I know a lot of people who read my blog aren't bloggers themselves. I often always wonder why everyone isn't a blogger! I mean, everyone is so unique and interesting I'm sure we all have something to say. If you have Facebook or Twitter you're kind of, already a blogger anyway. When I first joined Twitter it was marketed as a 'micro blogging site' so essentially Tweeters, you're already blogging in full swing! Huzzah! But alas, I think like most things, people don't know where to start or what the hell to write about. So this is my unofficial guide to starting out in the world of blogging!

We're On Two Wheels Baby

Lately you may have noticed my attempts to get HENCH by buying a new bike. I've wanted one for a few weeks and thought I'd make better use of a bike than I would a gym membership! I was going to save up to buy an extra pretty one, but when I looked at the pretty ones the tyres were too thin and I was scared I would fall off and graze my lovely knee's. So I went for a classic little mountain bike.

Pure for Sure

I was going to save this Pure BB Cream for a BB cream round up post, but it's just so UH-MAZING I've had to give it a spot all of it's own. I did review this when I first saw in on the shelves of my local Home Bargains a while ago. Unfortunately despite it being such a lovely product the 'light' one they released was still slightly too dark for my skin tone... Until now my friends. They have formulated a new Ultra Light variant. And now, I think my life is a little more complete.

Beautiful Botanics

Oh, how wonderful is the new packaging design of the Boots Botanics range? I am completely besotted with it, every time I've seen it in store since it's release I'd lusted after it all. But when I actually inspect the products there's just nothing that I need in my life right now... But I NEEDED something! Do you get what I'm saying? Just look at it, it's screaming ''BUY ME! BUY ME! I'M AMAZING''

Have You Bean Boozled?

Mmmm Jelly Belly Jelly Beans. That lovely little bean of goodness every one loves. Even though certain flavours give me a sore throat, I often succumb to their loveliness (and expense)  by treating myself to some now and again. Recently when perusing the aisles of Selfridges food department I spotted these keen beans begging for me to buy them.

The Bronze Medal

The sun has got his hat on, hip hip hip hoorayyy! I've not posted any beloved Aldi products lately have I? I've gotta say I am so impressed with everything I have tried from their beauty range so far. It's all an incredibly affordable price and actually does what it claims to do! Their make up and skincare products are both really good ranges. I went in the other day just to buy a bit of ham for the old sandwiches but couldn't resist those metallic cages in the middles of the aisles containing their seasonal goods...

For Redheads

The other day I was sent this Red Pigment Hair Infusion, it's developed by Scott Cornwall, the same guy who helped me attempt to get the horrid turquoise out of my hair with his Decolour Remover the other week! I was pretty happy about being sent this as I'd been eyeing it up in Boots the week before. I didn't purchase it though as it was the same day I bought the turquoise dye that subsequently ruined my lovely dip dye hair, wah wah.

OK I'm done being the vainest little urchin ever now. But seriously, it's amazing how different you can look with some Hair Extensions and a lovely clutch bag, both of which are things I'm not used to using! 

Looky looky

As I've mentioned before I'm not an eyeshadow kinda gal. I like it and can apply it relatively well, but I cannot be bothered most days and it also dries my weary old lady eye lids out. I always need epic moisturisation sessions for days afterwards to get them looking fresh again. But I am coming around to using eye shadow again now I'm finding more brands that don't make my eyes all crusty and such!

Bug Life

From the look of these pictures there must be something very interesting on my bedroom carpet (probably cat hairs or something equally as grim though) but I thought I would share with you today my new dress anyway! .....NEW DRESS DAY!  YEAAAAHH!!! All my plain cardigans are in the wash though, else I would have worn it with a black one instead of my favourite ever Fred Perry cardi, the colours go though I guess.

Graduated? So What Now?

I couldn't help but notice the abundance of people on my Facebook and Twitter celebrating the joys of Graduation recently. It's a super exciting time for some but for most through the brief haze of achievement there's that awful dread of WHAT NOW?! A few people may have internships or jobs lined up which relate to their chosen field of study. I must say, particularly in Stoke on Trent, these people are going to be few and far between. Staffordshire University, although it contains a large concentration of Art's based courses, isn't in a very 'art's based area'. Jobs for young people around these parts which aren't in a call centre, as a carer or working in Bet365 are kind of a rarity. I get questions all the time about where I work and how I came about my job. So I thought I would share with you my experience after (and a bit before) graduating, which was a year ago now, and boy, has a lot happened this year alone...!

Sunny Sunny, Splish Splash

 The weather lately has been erm, erratic, to say the least! One minute it's sunny as can beeee, the next it's raining cat's and dogs. It's the worst summer ever (well, worst one for me; I'm sure 90 year olds will be able to recall a worse summer or something) Anyway, the point is it's so so hard to work out what to wear right now. I leave the house in the morning wrapped up toasty ready to face the dreary cold day, then by dinner time I'm sweltering! So, I thought I'd do a little bit of a different post in the form of shoes today, you know, in honour of this Great British Summer....

Flawless Fix

Another day, another Look Beauty product. I know, I know!!! I need to quit the obsession. And before you think it - I am not being paid or endorsed by Look Beauty in any way! If they read this and they'd like to though, I'm open to offers! Haha. I just genuinely think their make up range is one of the best on the high street at the moment, as proven time and time again by each and every product I spontaneously purchase!

Bunny Rabbits

I was tweeting about these cute little Azuki Bean Rabbit's over the weekend and so many people were as intrigued as I was when I saw them in the Chinese Supermarket in Manchester this weekend. So as promised, here's a blog post for the little guys!

Darling Girl

I actually forgot that I ordered a bloggers sample pack from Darling Girl Cosmetics and now can't find the link so you can bask in the glory of 1 dollar samples yourself, I'm sorry!! They came from America so took quit a while to arrive. But nevertheless, I thought I'd show you my two favourite items from the little package. I got 5 samples in total which consisted of 2 blushers, 2 eyeshadows and a lip balm...

I Will Remember Before I Forget...

Nail Rocks

Nail Wraps are one of those things that I'm never sure how to feel about. They seem like such a great concept but I feel they're quite pricey due to the fact that in each packet you only get one 'go' of them. Some of the designs out there are amazing though and worth every penny for a little bit of (nail) art on your fingertips, others always seem a bit less exciting. I recently got sent some Nail Rock nail wraps to try though, and this cured my endless curiosity about them. I received two designs which are exclusive to asos; one was a Barbie pink colour and the other some adorable cupcakes.

Surf Seeds

Wadduppp duddessss!! Is that how 'Surfers' speak? I don't know. Anyway, I'm not sure why these chocolate covered sunflower seeds are called 'Surf Seeds' but I do know I have a penchant for such a snack since Tereza bought me a bag of them back from the Czech Republic recently.

I found this little treasure in Magma yesterday for £9.99 and I had to take some pictures of it before I ruined it all with my crude scrawlings of peter pan collared dresses and things I wish my little pear shaped bod could get away with wearing....

Roll up, roll up! Here we have a bargain of the day in the form of N.Y.C Smooth Mineral Starter Kit. A little set that boasts pure, gentle minerals which add a soft, naturally radiant glow! So, you love wearing knee high socks like a little Japanese tourist, but hate the fact they constantly fall down... What DO you DO? I tell you what you DO. I actually forgot about this stuff until the other day when someone on Twitter was talking about the bane of socks that fall down constantly.

I used to do a regular Music Monday blog post but I forgot to keep them up. Alas, I'm at the age where new music doesn't really reach my radar and I'm stuck in the past a little bit. Decolour Remover

So, if you're not aware, I royally f00ked my hair up over the past week or so. I thought it would be a brilliant idea to splash some Directions Turquoise into my dip dye; what a mistaker to maker! It looked awful, it was way too bright and didn't go at all with the red hair. So I went over it with Directions Pillarbox red and this was the result.

I'd not considered using a colour remover for this, but when I was offered some to try I kind of jumped at the chance. It's been really getting me down since I did it and I've worn my hair up way more than usual to try and hide it (I never wear my hair up!) I've been washing it non stop to try and make it fade but it just wouldn't budge!

More Little Miracles

Hiyurrrr. Remember the other week when I mentioned I'd tried Little Miracles Organic Energy? Well, the kind folks over there sent me some other flavours to try out! I do like the fact that it's not only beauty and fashion brands that are recognising the power of blogging nowadays, it's lovely that even though I am a cross-subject blogger I can get to sample other stuff I write about and tell you more too!

Butterfly Chunks

Oh, Playsuits - Y U SO PRETTY YET SO AWKWARD? I picked up this lovely playsuit from TK Maxx for £14.99 yesterday and I've not had it off since. It's absolutely wonderful, to a point. I mean it's so comfy to wear and lounge around in and looks great BUT try going for a pee when you're out and about; take off your coat, your cardi, pretty much strip nekkid just to empty your bladder. You also have to make sure you have chosen a cubicle with a lock that works! The endless panic that ensues when you're not sure the door has locked right and someone might walk in on your naked toilet adventure.

Magnificent Macadamia

Ah, I'm sure you've seen this lovely little duo doing the rounds on the Blogosphere over the past few months. Well, I finally got my mitts on them to see if they live up to their hype! I'm always very pessimistic when it comes to blogger hype, as quite a lot of the time I don't get what all the fuss is about when I try these wondrous products so many harp on about, but when it comes to hair care I'm willing to try most things.
